Correct positioning of gutters under the eaves
A correct installation must protect the gutters from impact by the snow sliding down the roof. The upper edge of the gutter flanging should not go over the roofing edge, as shown in the figure above.
Positioning the drop outlets
The first step of the gutter system instalation process is to locate the drop outlet which is the lowest component in the gutter line.
Installing the gutter hangers
Fasten the gutter hangers directly to the fascia board of the roof. The maximum spacing of the gutter hangers is 40cm. Install the gutter line with a downgrade of 2mm in height per 1 m of length towards the drop outlet.
Setting the correct gutter downgrade
First, fasten the gutter hanger furtherest from the drop outlet position along the roof edge, then fasten the drop outlet. Use a tighly tensiond string to set the correct gutter line downgrade between the two fas-tened components. Proceed with fastening the components directly to the fascia board along the string's line.
Trimming the gutters and down pipes to size
Trim the gutters to size by cutting square to the gutter centrline li a fine tooth saw.
Conecting the gutter to the drop outlet
Slide the gutter end under the inner flanging of the drop outlet. Snap the gutter end snugly within the inner flanging at its correction marks
INSTALLING THE GUTTERS ON THE GUTTER HANGERS
Start by inserting the inner part of the gutter under the back clamp of the gutter hanger; next, snap the gutter flanging into the front clamp.
INSTALLING THE GUTTER JOINTS
Insert the gutter under the inner flanging of the gutter joint until the gut-ter snaps into the front flanging. Next, slide the gutter under the holding paws, down to the connection marks.
INSTALLING THE END CAP
The end cap is designed to be mounted on either end of a gutter. Mount the end cap snugly on the entire end edge of the gutter.
INSTALLING THE DOWN PIPES UNDER THE EAVES
Push fit the down pipes with the fastened drop outlets, elbows and down pipe joints. If the eaves go more than 10 cm in front of the wall, make a down pipe offset by trimming a straight down pipe section to size. Install the elbow, the trimmed down pipe section, another elbow and the down pipe running down the wall. Leave a 10 mm clearance to compensate for the thermal length variation of the pipe.
INSTALLING THE DOWN PIPE CLAMPING RINGS
Fasten the down pipe clamping rings to the wall with the hook bolts and plugs in the wall holes. Use the stabilising faA§ade flanges if the hook bolts feel loose in the wall. The maximum spacing of the down pipe clamping rings is 2-2.5 m.
INSTALLING THE DOWN PIPE JOINTS
Push fit the down pipe joints between the down pipes. The arrow marks on the components must match the running direction of drained water. Leave a 10 mm clearance in each down pipe connection socket to com-pensate for thermal length variation
